I have used a pressure cooker in every way possible and love the results If you put the lid on properly you shouldn’t have any problem with it popping off. Pressure cookers have a safety valve that will pop out if the pressure gets out of range. Most all accidents with a pressure cooker are because the lids were not properly locked on.
