I'm inclined to agree here........if you lay out all three pieces side by side, how much space will that cover? Not even the top of a card table, right?

Now fold one piece in half. That is what you'll use in the seam allowances alone. Not to mention what you'll lose/waste in ends and scraps that are unuseable sizes.

A total of 1.5 yards of fabric will make a *small* wall hanging. Maybe.

But the block idea looks great!
