First of all.....Chuck, this is truly becoming beautiful.

Second of all....Fellow board members, I actually got to see one of these squares when I got to meet Chuck and other fellow board members at a shop hop here in Michigan in the beginning of March. I was stunned at how beautiful his dresden plate square is. It's either my computer, or it's the lighting, but the picture, as lovely as it is, just doesn't do the colors justice. The work involved and his accuracy in matching his pieces is exquisite!! (Listen to me, now I'm beginning to sound like a professional. I'm NOT, but I'm learning thru this board just what qualities I should like to see in my own work, and have sooooooo far to go before I get there) But this isn't about me, so back to Chuck.

Thirdly, Chuck, I think the burgundy will look great. I'm with the others.......I can't wait to see how you quilt it.

And last but certainly not least.....As I alluded to earlier, I only just met Chuck at the shop hop a few short weeks ago. I had emailed Chuck to ask him a few questions about how I could go about getting the guts to start a dresed plate quilt, and Chuck has gone above and beyond to give suggestions and encouragement so that I can accustom myself to attempt what I at first thought was an out of reach accomplishment. Well, being a beginner, and still needing to get more fabric,I'm not THERE yet. But I just want you to all know that Chuck is as kind a person as he is a magnificent quilter, artist, etc. He is what we're reading about when we talk about the wonderful people on this board. I'm thrilled to be one of the people Chuck is encouraging. IF EVER I get all the fabrics I need to start cutting, I'll also make sure I have a camera to take pictures of MY wip. (I finally figured out what wip is.)

THANK YOU, CHUCK!!! I truly mean this when I say "You're the BEST"!!!!
