When my mother died, she left behind tons of books - mostly hard covers. I took what I wanted, my brother did too and most of them went to her local library for their summer sale. It was a lot of work packing up all of those boxes and believe me, those boxes could get heavy but all I could think of was the pleasure she got from them. The love of fabric, well, I'm not sure where that came from!
My mother passed away on March 2 and since I am the sewer in the family I inherited her collection. My mother has fabric, books, videos and crafting supplies stashed EVERYWHERE!!! The past several years my sister and I would encourage her to go through everything and get it organized and thinned out so we wouldn't have to do it. She never got around to it.... I can now say I am glad she didn't. The memories!! Wow! Going through all of her stuff is going to take a lot of time but I am going to enjoy it.
