I seen a quilt at a show that was cut from old linens. They had used a base (12-14in square) and then crazy quilt style started layering the good pieces from dresser scarves, tablecloths, pillowcases, hankies, etc. Kind of like the crumb quilts seen on the board. The quilter also sewed bits of ribbon across the seams. It was so cute. I too have a large collection of hand embroidered linens, I love them. Suzanne McNeill from Design Originals has two books "Ladies of Leisure" and "Vintage Garden" that give good inspirations for projects.
