Suzi,
Your orig. fabric certainly didn't seem to have so much solid blue, teal and maroon as what show up in your hex's. It's amazing how sometimes you end up seeing the background more clearly, once you cut that fabric up and make hex's out of it. This same thing happened with a peacock feathers print I used on a OBW for my son. That solid purple just jumped out at you, in contrast to the peacock feather colors even tho they were edged with metallic gold! I'm anxious to see the rest of the hex's and how you arrange them in the end.
