I have the log cabin quilt top finished, but now comes the time to cut the binding.
I am shy in having enough of the (stupid) green fabric left to make the binding 2 1/4" and fold in half like I normally do. I seem to have read that sometimes one can use a single fold of fabric instead of the double fold. If I use this method, I have enough fabric.
My question is - if you have done this, did you find the binding wore out quicker than it did with the double fold?
It's not an option to buy more fabric, I am determined to use my stash! :)
Thanks for your suggestions.

htis is half of the quilt, colors don't show well in photo
