To make a window you must first start with a size (i dont know if it can be done anyother way but I recomend SQUARE like 5X5 or whatever)
then its easy to figure sides choose a width (2 or 3 in)
and add 3 in to length of square.
read about the davids galaxy quilt a few times over and you will get the gist of it I think, If I could you can.

i cut mine 6X6
