Try C.L.R. Calcuim, Lime , Rust. It works pretty good on those stains, you should be able to find it at Walmart, ACE Home Depot, Lowe's etc. Also, we used to use something from Amway , years ago when we had a well.
That CLR did a number on me....very caustic product...couldn't even hardly breathe with the smell. Gave it to my husband to keep in the garage. Oddly enough I use that bathtub cleaner Scrubbing Bubbles and although it doesn't remove all of it...it does help a lot. I too am very interested in finding a method that won't kill me in the process of cleaning.
