Love your quilt and hope it raises lots of money!

I made a couple quilts for the Alzheimer’s Association. The 2nd one was my best quilt ever and had a big label. I included my name, city, town, date and name of quilt. I also wrote that the quilt was made in honor of my Dad and his name (who was still alive at the time) and in honor of all those who have ever lived with Alzheimer’s. I named the quilt ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ because I felt the words to the song were fitting for those living with Alzheimer’s. Also wrote the lyrics on the label. (The quilt was very colorful and also dark purple, the Alzheimer’s Association’s color.) I probably went overboard but it had a lot of personal meaning. It was a raffle quilt, would have made more at an auction (gala) and I should have had a minimum starting bid.

Sorry so long but I’m happy that others are raising $ and awareness for Alzheimer’s!! :-P
