I totally agree with the messy part, but I am beginning to love paper piecing. Hang in there for a while longer and I think you will learn to live with the mess. I have only done about 8 blocks this way and I think I am starting to get a little faster now. It sure is fun though, and the variety of blocks is wonderful.
