It's kind of funny how things have turned out since it happened (I had a traumatic brain injury a few years ago, but about 10 years ago I got a bill from a hospital for some brain surgery I had, and why wasn't my insurance paying? Somebody typed the wrong thing.
Then a few years ago my husband was in a car accident, somebody typed the wrong letter, and had him down as a hit and run. Took a few phone calls, but we got that straightened out
Conclusion: Check everything. That's why I'm glad we do not have the same insurance we had before, with that one we never saw the bill unless we requested it. I like to double check things to make sure they're correct.
Like the time my daughter dislocated her elbow. The dr in the ER xrayed it and said it was normal, nothing broken, she must have relocated the elbow on the ride to the ER. Then the hospital bills $600 for the dr relocating the elbow and I only knew about it because I requested a copy of the bill! Our insurance didn't pay it, and didn't have to. Somebody just typed the wrong thing
A couple of years ago my husband got a notice that he had run a red lite in Vidiala, GA which is not far from here. It was a picture of a mini van. My husband drives a Ford PU truck the licence plate was the same as his except for the letter M instead of W. We got it straightened out.
