That plus the leaf tension and placement of the belt say something other than Singer. It's a beautiful machine and cabinet. The only difference in cabinet types is this one looks like the kind that raises up when you lift the lid (could be wrong about that but going on appearances). No coffin top like my Texas Advocate."
