I also machine embroider. I got a brother esante over 10 years ago and loved it. But when I learned last March that it wouldn't stipple correctly (the service repairman couldn't figure out why), my DH told me as much as I love sewing, quilting, embroidering, that I should get a new machine. Two of my friends had a Bernina, and I knew that was what I wanted. I bit the bullet and have not regretted it for a minute.
