I either use an iron-on transfer, colour it, heat set it and sew it on the lower right corner, or I scan a photo to my computer and print it on fabric printer sheets and sew it to the lower right corner. I also have just written on plain muslin, but, regardless of the method, I name the quilt, date it, who it was made for and my name.
