So a couple weeks ago I bought 2 machines on Ebay. The 201 arrived with a broken handwheel but the seller sent me his wifes chrome one so that was all good.

I had a mess going on getting wool ready for a braided rug so she had to sit a while before getting into MIL's cabinet. The cabinet was purchased in 1945 same year DH was born but MIL ditched the machine as it was too heavy :-(

Teddi really liked the woolies so I saved some to make her a bed for in front of the woodstove.

The 201 was rewired and all cleaned up ready to sew. So sew we did yesterday making a pad to protect the top of the cabinet on the right. Some pretty bad FMQ but Hey I tried! And a couple funky mice for pins and needles from the leftover wools.

I did find the bobbinwinder didn't seem to engage. Is that probably just the rubber?

Now, the problem girl: seller stated it was working. There is no footpedal or anywhere I see that one could plug in. Does one of the elec plugs go into a (missing) pedal? Or does it plug into a cabinet with a knee controller (because I know where there is one cheep)? I have no idea how to make this sew.

Seller has said that an antique machine person said the wheel turns freely and the motor ran when plugged in so it is a working machine - how with no controller? I have not plugged it in yet myself. But I will try that here in a bit.

This one also needs spool pins. I imagine Billy is the one to ask about them.

The 201 is a 1936 per it's serial and is named Miss MAM. That is something an old GF's Mom used to call her when she was in trouble :-) MAM is the initials of the seller's wife since I got her pretty handwheel.

Not too sure on the Brother yet. Her serial is A171841 but I have no manual or any other info on her. Any help there would be really appreciated!
