melissa, sorry to hear about your friends wife. seems last couple of years, we hear of a new cancer case often. I will add her to my p's.
i know your looking forward to finishing this quilt so you can move on.

I can't believe it's almost march either! I've got four grandbaby quilts I would like to do this year, but got other projects in mind too. I guess i am going to have to make them my priority. The other three should go easier than the current one. I've learned a lot of don'ts on this one.
The biggest being don't start out to learn something new, thinking that a pattern is not all that important.
As long as i keep on keeping on, I know that at the end of this year, I am going to be satisfied. This thread has definitely been a big help to me. I may not make dozens of things, but I don't just come to a complete halt either. I think I am learning to let myself enjoy it all more, and that's the important part. :)
