You don't have a pic of your Mum's Husqy do you?? I have a Husqvarna, but not sure of it's date. I figure it's about mid 60's but would love to have a pic to compare it to.
OK, here are some pictures of the machine. Its model no. is 19E, and Mum thinks she bought it 1963, which seems about right.

This is my Husqy...Looks a lot like your mom's.
They're almost identical, aren't they? The case is too. I wonder what difference the "automatic" makes? Is there a model number on the little plate with the Husqvarna name on it? Might be worth Googling that?
She's upstairs in the sewing room...After work I'll run up and look for identifying numbers and see what I can find. I love her and she runs like a charm!
