When I connected each row, I think I just made them go all the same direction...since there's so many squares, there's really no "less bulky" side, kwim?

WHILE I WAS SEWING I kept the diagram handy. Especially when you're first sewing the middle to the sides...sometimes it's hard to remember which one was which!

I'm going to try and put down all the different fabrics I used, in case you have some in your stash! If you want to do a different color scheme, here's some tips:

RED .....or "pop" color.
TAN and BROWN...or DARK color
BLUE....a showstopper, large print MEDIUM
PURPLE....similar color to "blue" one MEDIUM
TEAL....lighter background with a pattern or floral (mine picked up teal)
YELLOW...or LIGHT. Reads as a solid.
FUSSYCUT...something that picks up on the floral.
GREENS...reads as a neutral (mine were batiks w/a subtle pattern)
ORANGE A...read almost-solid
Orange B...larger print floral (mine picked up red)

I auditioned about 30 fabrics and let them hang around awhile until one bugged me too much. Then I pulled it out. On and on, until I had a pleasing palette. You don't have to do that though...I was trying to build around fabrics that HAD TO be in there per someone's request.
