Sharon, I have that bar but not the white part of the foot; I think that I can just put the bar through the hole above the presser foot, under the screw, and it will work, however, I will have to turn the bar upside down if I put it on the left side, correct? Would that still work?

Do you have the quilting bar that is in this photo? I have used it doing what you want, but have turned it so that it sticks out the left side of the foot. I have a Pfaff 7570 that I use it on. You can get about 1.5 inches between lines of stitching.
