I have a favorite pattern for a quick quilt. Buy 1 3/4 yard of a print pick 2 complimentry fabric [ 1 yard each ] and 5/8 fabric for binding. This quilt turns out to be 50x65, so you can make it smaller. Cut the print fabric 8.5 in and the other 2 colors 4.5 in sew these 2 fabrics in strips and make 4 patches with them. then alternate the blocks with 8.5 and the four patches [5 across and 7 down] with no borders.
