This weekend our Quilt Guild will be working a booth at the Dogwood Festival in Jesup GA. This will be my first year participating and it will be a lot of fun. Our guild makes lots of charity quilts for an organization that is responsible to removing children from their homes who are in danger so our guild provides each child with a quilt when this happens and they are put in foster care. Often that is the only thing they leave home with.

We will be promoting the guild this weekend and what we do regarding making charity quilts year round and of course we make some for other situations beside the organization we provide them for when we find out about it.

I'm picking up my 8 yr old GD this morning and I'll be taking her to the festival. She loves to sew and do crafty things so this will be a big deal for her. Tomorrow I'll be working our booth with several other ladies. We will be selling raffle tickets for a quilt made for this event and the money will be used to buy more material to make the charity quilts this year. Some of us will be sewing, some selling raffle tickets and some will be educating folks about what it is we do and when we have our meetings.
