I have that quilt. It's Kansas Sunflower. My pattern came from the
Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns by Leisure Arts, page 194.
So maybe different books call the same pattern different names?
As I looked more carefully, the Amish Dahlia pattern adds the petals later after the block is already pieced, whereas the Kansas Sunflower pattern from my book pieces the petals. They are cut and pieced as part of the block.
