Hello all!
The name's Rachel, and I'm from Northern Minnesota. I am a beginner quilter- made my first quilt in February of this year. I have been sewing in general for about 14 years, but never actually done any quilting. I'm currently working on my third quilt for my boss's new baby girl. I'm a little bit of a go-getter. The first quilt I made, I did straight line quilting. (Again, i'm new and don't know what the terminology is for everything) Since then, I did some research on free motion and decided I'd give it a whirl. I just finished FMQ the baby quilt and it turned out fantastic! Any suggestions on free motion on a normal sewing machine?
I have to admit I have the most basic sewing machine on the planet. I think I paid 50 bucks for it at walmart like 7 years ago, but believe it or not, it does the job. Looking at upgrading, but i'm scared. I have this thought that the more bells and whistles the more that can break. :) Suggestions on a good quilter's sewing machine would be much appreciated as well!

I look forward getting to know all of you! (and learning some new tips and tricks)

:D
