It is a little noisey but I think it may just need to be oiled. I need a throat plate for it. I have plently of bobbins that will fit, but no plate to cover them. It seems to be clean but have not checked it out yet. Have a wonderful day. Kathie
Kathie, Is your new SM a Singer or a different manufacturer?
It is a Singer. The Lettering is somewhat faded but it does say Singer. I am excited about it. The machine came in a portable cabinet and when you put the top on it locks. The only problem being is there is no key. You need a screwdriver to open it. Kathie
You must think that I'm a little off in the head... or just to lazy to read. I am not sure how I missed "Singer - knee peddle" ... Would you happen to have a Singer Blackside? That would be a great bonus! You can find a replacement key and I am sure Billy might even have a throat plate. Hope you can post pictures sometime.
