Your life with your husband sounds just lovely. Although I'm not retired, when I first started working at home about 10 years ago, I often didn't bother to change out of my pajamas until the afternoon. My husband comes home for lunch at 11:00 am and would give me "the look" - so that was my goal - to get dressed before he got here.
I don't get to sleep in - as much as I'd like to - thanks to one of our dogs - a rescued chihuahua-terrier mix who is up with the sun and sometimes way before the sun. DH gets up at 5:00 am every day, but she won't leave the room without me.
Last year I worked for the Census, and was amazed at how many older women were in the pajamas in the afternoon. I don't know why I was amazed since if someone knocked on MY door that's how they might have found me.
After years of working as a public information professional and having to be dressed for press conferences, it is really a treat not to have to bother. Love it!
