My husband and I (and I mean my wonderful husband, lol) just finished hanging my first One Block Wonder quilt this morning. I mentioned how much I loved working on this quilt, the process is definitely fun and the experience is awesome, although definitely addicting  I now can't look at print fabric without counting the repeats, I know there'll be more OBW quilts in my future.

I tend to be a color person, I love a little wild, so when I started making my half hexagon, all the green was just too green, so I started playing with other colors and creating some cubes, I love the color splash! After using the same fabric for the backing I had a chunk left over, so I thought I'll applique my favorite jungle animal on the quilt, I fused it on, then used a stem stitch to outline the edges. I love elephants, and every time I look at this quilt, I see the elephants looking back at me,lol. My husband said this quilt is "far out." affectionately of course

I quilted this quilt on the Longarm I rented the same day I did my Bargello, did it all freehand loops, I am happy with how it turned out.

I call this OBW Wonder In The Jungle! Thanks all for looking:)
