Hi - yes, I ironed light-weight pellon to the back of the t-shirts all the way to the edges to prevent stretching. It was the only way to keep it stabile. I am also helping a friend make one and we appliqued the neck scoop on some of her shirts and it came out great. I sewed triangle of contrasting fabric on some of the corners of the tank tops - or used pieces from the back. I left some of the pics off center to allow for me to use a perm marker to write some memories on the blocks. Others I pieced to get the the logos in the center. I pieced some of the smaller chest sleeve logos to make a few collage blocks. I simply turned the quilt instead of binding and stitched 1/2" from the edge then did a simple petal pattern on each block. This was a fun way to preserve some memories instead of washing the car with them :)
