Well, my friends tell me I'm a nice one! The name is a curse and a blessing. Most people I meet don't realize they are sub-conciously judging my behavior/character with the high expectations of a "Heavenly Angel". Maybe consider the name April, as it has the same beginning and ending sound. Since you have other issues you need to resolve without the dog having identity issues. Most people call me April (or Angela) by mistake.

I too foster and enjoy my "rentals" (as we like to call them). As a military family, we feel it's best for us to only give lifetime commitments to 2 pets max. So fostering is a way for me to get my "pet fix" and take in more pets without the expense (like you said) and moving hassles every 2-3 years.
Best of luck with your new little one. I'm sure you'll gain her trust soon.
