I don't know how I missed this post. I just love this quilt! It's really cute. And I love the symbolism of the puzzle.
My sister works with autistic kids as a teacher's aid. She mentioned a few things that crafters can make for them. They like the feel of cloth "bean bags"- just little pillows filled with dry beans and anything with textures. I'll have to ask her some of the other ideas she had- she had gone to a seminar and they had some stuff and she thought of others, but I don't remember them offhand.
