Anyone heard of the back-basting applique technique??

Under the first picture there is a tulip Block 87 to click on and print out for an experimental pattern I did that one and it turned out well, even for as small as it is.
Also at this site is a page of miniature blocks using different techniques, a little like the Dear Jane blocks, that are kind of fun.
