I went to the Mountain Quilt Fest in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple of weeks ago and was talking to one of the vendors about fabric and the rising cost. Of course he mentioned the cost of cotton rising, but he also told me that virtually all of the quilting cottons are printed overseas, mostly in Korea and Japan. Of course there is some printed here in the US, but not much. He said this was also causing the cost of fabric to increase and we can expect this to continue for a good while. With today's political climate I think we can expect the worst. Stock up now!!!!
