Lint roller or a damp hand, or a rubber glove, or vaccuum gently, packing tape wrapped around your hand sticky side out...the list is long...and I've used them all. I just invested in a furminator for our biggest cat. I was stunned at how much fur I had after a first brush. I'm hoping it will reduce shedding...he's the worst "offender".
