Sorry but what is batting tape? Not something I have seen for sale here in the UK but have several pieces of batting about 2 oe 3 foot wide and would like to use them.
Batting tape is a lightweight fusible strip that is fairly new. You can use lightweight pieces of interfacing for the same purpose. But if your batting is polyester it is not good to iron it with heat.

You can also zig zag your pieces together with a large machine stitch or whip stitch them by hand.

It all works.
thanks purrfect quilts. I have been butting and whip stitching but being self-taught and new to quilting I wondered if I was doing the right thing.
