mareliba~I used to use Steam a Seam 2 and if I remember correctly, you could adhere it to your applique pieces, then you could stick those pieces temporarily to your background fabric, and still be able to move it around until you had your pieces where you wanted them. Then, when it was right, you would iron it onto the background permanently. I seem to remember loving that stuff!! I'll have to try to find it again. Heat-n-Bond Lite is fine, but it doesn't hold that well. I have to try to remember not to put too many pieces to my quilt at one time before I start to satin stitch them down. (like I've been doing on the quilt I'm working on right now :oops: )
