I love love my EQ5. I have been working with full size quilts lately. I usually design quilt blocks but am branching out. I love the convenience of my EQ5. I just bought EQ6 recently and am just starting to check it out.
EQ5 was the best thing I ever bought. I have debated on the EQ7. Maybe in time I will get it. Right now the 5 does what I need and 6 is proving to be interesting but I don't know if it is all that much more than the 5. There are some things I prefer in 5 over 6.
I haven't done anything with applique or embroidery in it tho. I could still learn a thing or two about 5 if I want to try new things beyond what I usually do.
