I purchased a leather thimble at my quilt shop. It is similar to this one [url]
http://www.quiltknit.com/notions/thimble_1.htm Scroll down one. It is called the nimble thimble. I paid 4.75 for it and I am sort of disapointed. I decided to hand quilt a full sized quilt by hand and I had a rubber one but I forgot it so I went down the street to get a leather one, I'd heard they were really good. So, I work with it for about 2 hours and it sort of splits open. I accidently make it worse, and now I can't use it at all. My question is, did I do something wrong to make it like that? I'm left handed, and I hold the needle with my thumb and index finger. I got it because the skin was rubbing off my index finger and I put it on my index finger, it was akward but it worked, and then it started to tear a bit???
Should I take it back, or what? Thanks Emily
