I would imagine that one could make note somewhere with the quilt of the areas that were covered.
Anyway it is a wonderful quilt.
Others say they wish that quilts could talk....there would be quite a story.

I would have to agree with BeeNana...you do not want to degrade the quilt, so do you research, make note of it and have someone if not yourself professional repair the quilt to its original. It is a beautiful quilt and you were very lucky to find it at a Thrift store. Best of luckl, I would love to hear about the outcome.
