I have a dear friend (who is also on this forum) who over the past 40 years has learned that it is best for her if she asks her husband once. If he doesn't do it, then she does it herself or hires it done. No bribing involved and no nagging on her part either. He has learned over the years to do the things she asks, because he wants to make her happy. They are an extremely happy couple who love each other more now than when they first married.
