When I had to travel to Woodland Hills CA for work I the night I got in I took the phone book and mapped out the local quilt shops. That was about 10 years ago so, not sure if any are still in business. But if you have access to a car while visiting you may want to plan a trip to the LA garment district. There is a lot of inexpensive fabric, but you will need to buy at least one yard and you will need to bring cash. It is an experience in itself. Here is a website to check out for more information: http://www.alleycatscratch.com/Shop/...trict_Tips.htm
