Hello, I havent' been very active on this board for several weeks now. But sometimes life gets in the way and you have to put all aside and take care of whatever it is. I wanted this done for a Christmas present for my GGRDSON Cayden. Just put the last stich in today.
Now this is a crayon quilt and I wasn't sure how long the color was going to last. I discovered after the fact about TEXTILE MEDIUM. I didn't know anything about the stuff and no one else I knew seemed to either. So after researching and hunting for a store in my area, Finally found one it is MICHAELS. I am going Tuesday to Valdosta to get me a couple of bottles. NOw the Dilemma... Instructions are paint on with a brush and press until dry. OKAY!! No Can Do!! Quilt is finished. Now if I paint it on and then use my HAIRDRYER won't that be the same as heat is what sets the color.
Please give me some opinions has anyone tried this before? Well I am going to do it and will post when I find out after the owners have washed the quilt.
This is a Great site and so many new people are on now you will not be sorry this is the PLACE. The top under the sports quilt is my own comforter that is next on the sewing machine.
