I do both, probably about even in $ amount. I tend to buy things that I'm not sure of at the LQS so I can see/feel it in person. Known products are easy to buy on-line. I do want to support my LQS so they stay in business..I encourage them to offer classes and do extra activities because they can't stay in business if they are relying only on fabric sales...now thats JMHO.
