Love your idea and I think your on to something good..So are the birdies going to be appliqued on top after the pp is done then?
Yes, the birdies would be appliqued. I haven't figured out the fence yet, but if we can do the railing around the farmhouse, the fence should be easy. Same sort of concept. In the pictures section there are two other (deecee and nickylsf) who also paperpieced but with peaked roofs.
