OK, here's my idea for these unfinished blocks. I based this on an idea sent to me by a friend seen here:

I'll probably cut the butterfly blocks down to a finished size of 10", and it will be my first all hand piece/hand quilt project. It'll be nice to have one to take on the go now that softball season is starting. LOTS of handwork; hand applique, hand embroidery, hand piecing, and hand quilting. I'll do a nice little pattern in each of the solid green blocks, just like the one in the finished picture. Should keep me busy for a very long time!
