I have a Juki TL98Q and have no problems with a 5" block...you just have to move the quilt in the direction you need to go. You need to use the needle up/down button so you can rotate your block to SID. Maybe I'm not understanding the problem correctly but I'm not seeing how it could be a problem. Doing motifs is a different story and you have to figure out how to rotate your block so you don't have to have too many thread stops and starts. As always the dreaded words practice, practice, practice will be your best friend in learning how to do whatever you want to create.
