Not all fusibles are the same. Generally speaking the lite version is intended to hold the fabric until sewn. Wonder under and Heat and bond lite are two that fit that category. The heavy version is intended to hold with out sewing ,and can not be easily sewn .. gum the needle, and can break the needle.
Steam a seam is the exception , they are all intended to hold with out sewing, but the lite version is not as stiff in the final project. I do not sew through any of the steam a seams.
Heat and bond heavy does hold but I have found that prolong dryer use will affect the bonding.
If you are trying to put a lable on an existing finished quilt , you can hand sew the lable after you turn under the edges and only sew through the backing layer. If this is not a preferable method .. my best choice would be Steam a Seam . it seems to have the strongest "hold" of any I have used.
