I ordered the screw in seam guide today so that might prove more useful. This machine goes to fast for me to just use the plate guide...whhhirrrrrrrr
I got mine just the other day for my new 301, too. I'll be testing it later this evening and will let ya know if mine's okay. I got an Alphasew # 60617. Is yours the same or a different make?
I hope someone here has an answer for you. I'm assuming you have it installed correctly? Thumbscrew in all the way? Best of luck to you. I know how maddening stuff like this can be.
