What a mess they will come home to; fridge, freezer, etc. If I had the $, I would to try to pay it for them, or even pay "something" on it to keep from having it turned off. I do think she should have responded to your text message, although there could be a good reason for that too. I know that we never really know how we will respond to something until we are there, but this is how I would hope to respond.
