I have the 4000, (and love it), but find I have to be very careful when I thread the invisible stuff to make sure it goes exactly in the right spot. It's easy for it to go to one side or the other. Try rethreading VERY slowly and carefully, and keep the pressor foot UP when you do. Good luck.
