I have the same Red Eye in excellent condition, but mine is not a treadle. Date on mine is 1914 and it has the original motor.
Does yours clamp the feet on from the back? Mine does.
I am also thinking that IF AND WHEN I ever get a treadle cabinet for it, I will be able to just put the treadle belt from the wheel down onto the base wheel for the treadle and not plug in the motor.
I paid $150 for mine plus shipping from Calgary, Canada.
I LOVE HER! I have named her Canadian Rose. She purrs like a kitten and sews like a charm.
I hope that you have many years of happy sewing/quilting on your new baby! I know I will on mine.
I have two other vintage machines (FW and WHITE) and they are both idle at the moment since Canadian Rose has stolen the scene. I have her in a table top with folding legs. She fits in the same inset as the WHITE.
The table top was made by my husband to sit on top of the original table which fits for the FW and had been my MIL's. Don't know where the machine went though. I think it was traded in for the WHITE in the 50s.
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY SEWING!
